Why autumn?
Contrary to what you might think, this is one of the best times of the year to sow seeds and reorganise your green space, whether on the balcony, in the garden or even in a small corner of the kitchen. The soil retains some moisture, plants suffer less from the heat, and several crops thrive in the mild autumn climate.
At the same time, it's an ideal time to renew the substrate, correct water drainage, and plan what you will harvest in the coming months. If you already have a summer vegetable garden, now is the time to remove dry plants, mix in new substrate and prepare the soil for autumn crops.
If you are starting from scratch, autumn offers the perfect environment to take your first steps: balanced temperatures, fewer pests, and many species that grow easily.
Tripeirinha's vegetable garden
Even if you don't have a garden, you can easily create your own urban vegetable garden and turn your balcony into a small green haven. The Venezia grow boxes and Madagascar to grow trays make everything simpler: they are resistant, have a lid to protect against the weather, have efficient drainage and easily adapt to small spaces.
Sofia used our 80 cm Venezia grow box in taupe to brighten up her space. Thanks to its raised legs, it is the perfect grow box for those who want to grow their own produce without the discomfort of constantly bending down. The Madagascar to grow trays, available in various sizes - S, M and L - are ideal for early sowing and even for monitoring the growth of plants before transferring them to the larger vegetable garden.
Passionate about gardening and the greenery of Nature, Sofia has created a real urban vegetable garden on her balcony, showing that growing in autumn is not only possible but also rewarding.

Sofia used the Venezia grow box and Madagascar to grow trays to grow lettuce, coriander, carrots and chard, four crops that do very well at this time of year. The combination of the two products allows you to follow the entire cycle, from seed to dish.
